You and the laws of thermodynamics

You should be reassured that the laws of thermodynamics (basically those things that keep the world together) still apply: what you eat today does stay until tomorrow, unless you do something about it. As put recently by a professor of health at Penn State, the body does not waste energy. We all know people who claim they can eat as much as they like (protein and fats) and still lose weight if they avoid certain kinds of foods, the chief candidate for elimination these days being carbs. But studies now show that people who make these claims are really eating less (fewer calories) then they previously ate. With less eaten there is less to store or, as they say, to walk and talk tomorrow.
