Speeding up research into methamphetamine

When it comes to drug abuse, crystal meth or speed-or more scientifically, methamphetamine, has been called the biggest gorilla in the room. That's pretty big, considering that meth addiction is the second most frequent reason why people seek treatment for drug abuse. Meth has a great reputation as a sexual performance enhancer. It is also getting a great deal of attention from scientists who are coming to believe that it has a debilitating effect on the immune system. Even worse, meth use is now considered a possible factor in an increase in HIV infection. In gay communities especially, the word is out-slow down on speed or you won't be truckin' at all.
